Awards Over the Years

We are proud to announce that NAFA is ranked #115 in Singapore’s Top 200 Best Employers survey list 2022—one spot higher than the academy’s ranking in 2021 (#116), and 22 spots higher than 2020 (#137).  

Yet, this is just one of the many various accolades we have received over the years from NTUC and Education Services Union (ESU) in recognition of our contributions towards employees’ welfare, good labour-management relations and NTUC initiatives.

The TAFEP awards acknowledge NAFA's achievements in implementing fair, responsible, and progressive employment practices. They also recognise NAFA as one of the best organizations to work for in Singapore.

National Workplace Learning Organisation Of Competence (Gold Award) 2023 By NACE

The Workplace Learning Organisation of Competence (GOLD) is conferred to organisations that have demonstrated effective and integrated learning systems, processes and practices in supporting the learning and development of its people.

Charity-Transparency-Award-2023

Charity Transparency and Charity Governance Awards

The awards aim to promote good governance and transparency in the charity sector by acknowledging the excellent work done, and in turn inspiring others to adopt similar best practices. NAFA had won the Charity Transparency Award in 2019 before a pause for review by the Charity Council in 2020 and 2021, leading to a revamp with a more stringent compliance checklist implemented from 2022. A testament to our standards of excellence, NAFA was again honoured with the Charity Transparency Award in 2023.

May Day Awards – Plaque of Commendation (Gold)

In 2019, NAFA was accorded the Plaque of Commendation (Gold)—a top-tier award for organisations which have consistently made significant contributions towards promoting and supporting labour movement initiatives.

Tripartite Alliance Award – Special Mention Award

NAFA President (former) received the Special Mention Award – Transformational Leader in Action. This is in recognition of his steering efforts in transforming the workplace through people-centric practices.

May Day Awards – Medal of Commendation

NAFA President (former) received the Medal of Commendation at NTUC May Day Awards ceremony. This is in recognition of his contributions towards good labour-management relations, workers’ welfare and NTUC initiatives.

National Steps Challenge – Industry Award Winner

NAFA was accorded the Industry Winner Award for the Education Sector in the National Steps Challenge Season 3 Corporate Challenge. This is in recognition of our colleagues’ efforts in clocking more than 10,000 steps a day!

Corporate Excellence Award and Silver Health Award

In 2017,  our holistic and continued efforts to create a health-promoting workplace environment earned us the Corporate Excellence Award.

Previously, we were also recognised for our commendable efforts in promoting a healthy workplace, with the Silver Health Award in 2012.

We won the Best Supervisor Award for making a positive difference in the daily lives of working mothers.

ESU Pink Heart Award

In 2015, NAFA received the ESU Pink Heart Award in recognition of the academy’s contributions towards good labour-management relations.

Plaque of Commendation

In recognition of our positive contributions to the labour movement, such as engaging staff on issues to do with benefits and professional development, NTUC presented NAFA with the Plaque of Commendation in 2013.
