In a world where digital landscapes and artificial intelligence shape the rhythm of our daily lives, how we record and remember the past has become increasingly significant. The archives of our history now inform the technology of our future, with Artificial Intelligence drawing heavily from the vast data stored in digitised and online archives. As we stand at the intersection of technology and history, we are called to reflect on how both seemingly obsolete physical archives and modern data serve as mirrors - reflecting not only who we were but who we are becoming. In this moment of rapid digital evolution, the question arises: How do the echoes of history, along with contemporary digital archives, influence our sense of self and our place in the world today?

Following closely after NAFA’s Arts and Design Practice Research Exchange (ADPRex), this 6th iteration of UOB-NAFA Southeast Asian Forum 2025 explores how archiving within art practice and documentation processes can lead to diverse artistic outcomes, shaping our evolving understanding of the intersection between art history, the social sciences, culture, and global politics.

The programme features live presentations, video-on-demand content as well as performances and moderated panel discussions with leading artist-practitioners, educators and researchers in the region.
