Calling all Performing Arts Students and Artists!

You are warmly invited to a unique 2-day Training Programme which is part if the UNESCO Project: “Embracing Shared Heritage through Performing Arts” (2025–2026).

This FREE training programme is organised by NAFA UAS in collaboration with UNESCO Jakarta and sponsored by Temasek Foundation.

The programme explores Southeast Asia’s shared cultural heritage and offers a unique opportunity for participants to learn from experts, engage in creative exploration, cultural dialogue, interdisciplinary collaboration and networking with fellow artists.

For this inaugural edition, participants will explore the theme “Exploring the Concept of Peranakan in Modern Singapore” and can look forward to:

  • Talks by industry practitioners, cultural experts, and artists and gain deeper insights into Peranakan culture and its contemporary relevance
  • Hands-on workshops in movement, music, and theatre
  • Exploring how traditional elements can inspire modern creative work
  • Discussions on Singaporean identity and cultural heritage
  • Learning visits to cultural spaces such as the Peranakan Museum
  • Connect and exchange ideas with fellow artists and practitioners
  • A more detailed programme will be shared with those who have registered.
