The Alumni Relations Office organised the NAFA Alumni Tour: Helutrans Facility Visit on 25 September 2026, following the 一生之作 A Life’s Work: Dialogues on Art, Legacy and Stewardship event held at NAFA Campus 2 on 25 July 2026.
During the July event, alumni were introduced to Helutrans and its work in art logistics, handling, storage and conservation. This sparked interest in learning more about the proper storage, care and preservation of artworks, particularly collections built up over a lifetime.
The follow-up visit brought 13 alumni behind the scenes at the Helutrans warehouse, where they gained insights into the specialised processes involved in handling, storing and safeguarding artworks.
The visit was also an opportunity to connect with fellow NAFA alumni working at Helutrans—Olivia Ong, Prabhnoor Kaur and Liu Wenchao. Alumni also had the chance to catch up and make new connections over a tea break and networking session.
The afternoon offered alumni a closer look at the expertise and processes involved in safeguarding artworks for the future, while bringing the NAFA alumni community together to connect and learn from one another.
