Organised by the Alumni Relations Office, NAFA’s Career Networking Mixer 2026 – Behind the Brief brought together students, alumni and industry professionals for an afternoon of candid conversations on career development, resilience and creative practice.
The session featured five NAFA alumni from diverse fields in speaker, facilitator and moderator roles:

- Hubert Loi (Facilitator and Moderator) — Design Strategist and Educator
The panel offered an honest look at the realities behind professional success. Through personal stories of uncertainty, experimentation, setbacks and breakthroughs, the speakers shared how they navigated challenges, adapted to change and built meaningful careers in their respective industries.
The discussion highlighted that career journeys are rarely linear. From creating opportunities from the ground up to embracing unexpected detours and learning from failure, the alumni offered valuable insights into the determination, adaptability and resilience required to thrive in today’s evolving professional landscape.
Beyond the panel, the event provided a platform for attendees to connect with fellow members of the NAFA community, exchange experiences and build professional networks across disciplines.
