Knot Alone explores the delicate space between closeness and distance, where connection feels both assured and uncertain, visible yet difficult to hold. The works reflect the fragility of human relationships, revealing emotional tension beneath the surface of loving and being loved. Unseen forces draw individuals together while quietly testing how tightly they can remain bound.
What holds these connections in place, and what threatens to undo them?
Connection becomes physical through acts of tying, binding, and linking, transforming abstract emotions into tangible form. These gestures act as both action and symbol, suggesting relationships in moments of becoming, holding, or strain. The artworks and materials trace paths of attachment, encouraging close attention to how bonds are formed, where pressure gathers, and what happens when tension is left unresolved.
Knot Alone exists in the uneasy balance between reassurance and restraint. A knot may secure and protect, yet it can also tighten without warning. This duality mirrors relationships that comfort us while demanding care, attention, and communication. Like a knot whose purpose is felt more than understood, connection remains complex and vulnerable, reminding us that we are never truly alone.
