Malaysian artist Yeo Eng Hin and Singapore-born Chua Chay Hwa first met and studied Western Painting at NAFA in Singapore in the late 1970s. The pair headed to Paris to further their training at the École Nationale Supérieure des Beaux-Arts, embarking on a lifelong practice spanning 5 decades with several artistic sojourns together. Their practice has brought them well beyond their homelands in Malaysia and Singapore, from ancient cities of Angkor Wat to remote lands of Northern China. They come together to present over 40 paintings in Singapore for the first time, a selection of Southeast Asian landscapes and scenes of local life, reflecting their roots and deep engagement with the world around them.
