One of Singapore’s first recipients of the Cultural Medallion, NAFA’s long-serving teacher and respected artist alumnus, Wee Beng-Chong, presents his recent ink works as well as historical works from the 1960s. This extensive repertoire includes oil, mixed media, seal carving and sculpture works as well as works that have never been exhibited in public. A ciment fondu portrait sculpture of UOB founder, Datuk Wee Kheng Chiang will also be presented

Wee's diversity of style and mastery across mediums is evident from his prolific practice and training. An important figure in the development of visual art in Singapore, Wee is advisor to the many art societies, some of which he had helped to co-found. He still teaches today and is a well-loved teacher by generations of NAFA artists and staff.
