Introduction to Decoupage
(4 sessions x 3 hours)This beginner course introduces learners to the fundamentals of Decoupage. Learners will learn the history of Decoupage and the basic steps of creating decoupage projects. Starting from paper selection, paper cutting, composition, background painting, pasting and varnishing, learners will be guided step by step to complete the decoupage project with good workmanship. This course is recommended for learners with/without prior knowledge of Decoupage.
Learning Outcomes:At the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:
- Know how to select and cut the suitable paper for the project
- Know how to prepare the surface of wood (one type), glass (top & under) and canvas
- Know how to paste the paper for the Decoupage project
- Know how to paint the background using a brush or a sponge
- Know how to varnish the decoupage project correctly
- Complete 4 projects (various surfaces)
A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
