Scholarships & Merit Awards Diploma & Degree students with excellent portfolio submission/ entrance test/ audition results, as well as excellent track record of achievements in related arts and creative industries may apply for Scholarships & Merit Awards.

| Graduate Assistantship Award
|
Full-time master’s degree students may apply for the Graduate Assistantship Scheme. Recipients are required to fulfil 8 hours of service per week with their respective Schools during the year of award.
The award will be considered for renewal for the second year upon meeting the minimum academic performance stipulated by the respective Schools and fulfilling the conditions of the service obligations.

- Full-time master’s degree students
- Graduated with minimum Upper 2nd Classification from a relevant undergraduate degree course
- Good audition results
- Excellent track record in related achievements/participation, e.g. won prizes in international and/or local competitions.

- 50% of nett programme fees payable (to offset fees directly); and
- Allowance of $3,000 disbursed as a form of stipend over a period of 10 months @$300 per month.

| Student Notebook Subsidy Scheme
|
Financial subsidy for students from the lower income household to purchase a personal notebook for their studies at NAFA.
|
- Diploma and Degree students (1st Year & 2nd Year students)
- Singapore Citizens or Singapore Permanent Residents
- Financially needy students, with household per-capita income (PCI) not exceeding S$1,100 per month or Gross Household Income (GHI) not exceeding $4,400 per month
|
Tier 1 (PCI≤ S$750 or GHI ≤ S$3,000): One time subsidy of $1,000
Tier 2 (PCI S$751 - S$1,100 or GHI S$3,001 - S$4,400): One-time subsidy of $500
|

| Kwan Im Thong Hood Cho Temple Student Relief Fund
|
Financial assistance scheme aims to help full-time diploma and degree students whose families are in sudden financial crisis (e.g. the breadwinner falls critically ill or is retrenched).

| Student Assistantship Scheme
|
Diploma & Degree students who wish to work on-campus and get paid according to work hours.
The nature of work may include event assistance, administrative support or any other duties as assigned.

Hiring departments may specify certain competencies such as design knowledge, related work experience etc.

$9.00 per hour, up to $3,000 per year
|

Definition of “Income”: Gross (i.e. including employee’s CPF contribution) income contributions from self-employment, business or salaried employment (which includes basic salary, allowances, overtime pay, etc.), as well as other sources of income (e.g. rent). If bonuses are declared, it should be computed as one twelfth of the annual wage supplements and bonuses received in the last twelve months. Payments-in-kind, reimbursement for transport and other expenses and National Service (NS) allowance earned by NS men are excluded.
New students who have applied for NAFA’s in-house Scholarships, Merit Awards and Bursaries will be considered for the Higher Education Community Bursary or Higher Education Bursary in the same application. No separate application is required. Students who missed the first round of application, can still do so in subsequent application exercise at the start of the academic year.
