Ms Carol Sim Soek Cheng is Senior Director, Student Services and Special Projects at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore. She brings more than two decades of experience at the Academy, having led a wide range of institutional portfolios spanning student services, student admissions, alumni relations, library services, information technology, arts preschool, NAFA International and data protection.
Throughout her career at NAFA, Carol has contributed to several key institutional initiatives, including leading the EduTrust pilot exercise in 2010, producing the operetta Die Fledermaus as part of NAFA's 80th anniversary celebrations in 2018, and serving on the Pro-Tem Committee for the establishment of the University of the Arts Singapore in 2021.
Prior to joining NAFA in 2004, Carol worked as a librarian with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, Nanyang Polytechnic and the National Library Board. She also lectured in Library Science at Temasek Polytechnic and began her career as an editor in the publishing industry.
