Dr Jeffery Tan is Dean of the Centre for Lifelong Education at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, where he leads the Academy’s continuing education and professional development initiatives. Since joining NAFA in 2015, he has also held leadership appointments advancing the Academy’s research capabilities and academic programme development.

Under Dr Tan’s leadership, the Centre for Lifelong Education is expanding its industry partnerships and professional certificate offerings in skills for the green, digital, and care economies. He leads collaborations with organisations including NTUC First Campus, St Luke’s Eldercare, Esplanade Academy, and SMU Academy, while overseeing SkillsFuture-supported initiatives and new programmes that respond to emerging industry needs.

Prior to joining NAFA, Dr Tan held academic appointments at Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Nanyang Technological University, and was Resident Director at The Necessary Stage. He holds a PhD from the University of Cambridge and continues to contribute to Singapore’s arts and education sectors through advisory and assessment roles with the National Arts Council and People’s Association.
