Ho Hui May is Dean of the Office of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Teaching and Learning Centre at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore. She also serves as Associate Dean of the School of Fine Art. Previously, she taught at the diploma and degree levels in NAFA’s Fine Art programmes and at the School of Art, Design and Media, Nanyang Technological University.

An artist and educator, Hui May has exhibited extensively in Singapore and internationally, including at the National Museum of Singapore, the Singapore Art Museum and Kyushu University. She was nominated for the ICON de Martell Cordon Bleu Award in 2010 and has won First Prize in the Photography category in the 2007 UOB Painting of the Year Award. Her solo exhibition, Domestic Dystopia, was presented at Kay Ngee Tan Architects Gallery in 2007.

She continues to contribute actively to Singapore visual arts community as a practitioner and educator, serving as a judge at the Singapore Young Photographer Award, a mentor for Photovoice SG’s Spectrum Through the Lens programme, and a film curator for the Singapore International Photography Festival.
