Dr Bridget Tracy Tan is Senior Director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries, and Academic Advisor for Southeast Asian Arts at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore. She leads the Institute's efforts to advance the study, presentation and understanding of Southeast Asian arts through research, exhibitions and academic engagement.

Formerly a curator at the Singapore Art Museum (now National Gallery Singapore), she holds a First Class Honours degree in History of Art, and a PhD in practice-led research as a curator and critical art historian from the University of the Arts London. Her doctoral research examined Southeast Asian museology and curatorial practices within contemporary global contexts, with a particular focus on biennales.

Dr Tan continues to curate exhibitions and teach Southeast Asian arts. She has contributed essays and articles on Singaporean and regional artists to seminal publications, while her postgraduate teaching and research explore interdisciplinary and cross cultural perspectives. Over the past three decades, she has also served on regional and international juries for photography and painting competitions.
