NAFA SYT Junior Music students shine at National Chinese Music Competition 2016

11 NAFA SYT Junior Music students pitched their skills at the rigorous National Chinese Music Competition 2016 that ran between 29 November to 9 December, to garner top awards including first prize for the Pipa Youth Category and the top prize for the Pipa Open Category.

12-year-old Chen Xin Yu, who won the latter, also placed first in previous years at the Pipa Youth Category in 2014, and in the Pipa Junior Category in 2012. She performed with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra (SCO) at The Prize Winners’ Concert conducted by Quek Ling Kiong, held on 11 December 2016.
