NAFA Convocation 2019

From 6 – 8 September 2019, NAFA conferred a historic total of 914 certificates to graduating students from all 21 Diploma and 8 Degree courses at NAFA’s annual Convocation Ceremony. This year also saw  the inaugural graduating cohort of three degree courses which were administered in partnership with the University of Central Lancashire, namely BA (Hons) Design and Media, BA (Hons) Fine Art Practice and BA (Hons) 3D Design Practice. Convocation 2019 also marked the graduation of the first cohort of NAFA’s Talent Development Programme which was launched in 2018.

Mr Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Transport & Ministry of Culture, Community and Youth was the Guest of Honour during the first session of the Convocation event on 6 September.

During the ceremonies, 26 students received the Best Graduate awards in recognition of their all-round achievements -- excellent academic results, strong leadership qualities and significant contributions to the Academy. Six of them received an additional award for their outstanding performance and achievements in NAFA.

David Zechariah Kwek, Bachelor of Music (Hons)
‘Embassy of Peru Award’

Award-winning cross-disciplinary artist Lim Chin Huat was awarded the Distinguished Alumni Medal for his contributions to the arts scene in Singapore.
