Junior Music

The objectives of the Junior Music Department are, namely, to discover young talents and to provide systematic and professional training to groom future musicians for Singapore. The Department draws on the teaching pedagogy of renowned overseas music colleges, while at the same time tailors the curriculum in accordance with our local environment. It has discovered and nurtured hundreds of young musicians, and it has established a reputable brand name. The Department attained a remarkable world record of 97% distinction rate in the ABRSM examinations. In addition, its students and alumni are widely acclaimed, having won numerous national, regional and international competition prizes (over 500 prizes to date). They have had given many well-received concert tours, and achieved successful auditions to world-renowned music institutions.

In view of the latest advisory issued by the Ministry of Health on 24 March 2020, we regret to inform that all classes at the School of Young Talents have been suspended until 30 April 2020. We seek your understanding during this period.

Applicants must meet requirements and pass audition.

Registration for audition begins in early May and early November for the July and January intakes respectively. Please visit our website in end April and end October for enrolment details.
