Description
Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an Adjunct Lecturer (Arts Management Fundamentals) at the Centre for Lifelong Education (CLE).
Established in 2005, NAFA’s Centre for Lifelong Education is Singapore’s leading institute for continuing education and training in arts, design and media. Its courses offer opportunities to upskill, reskill and develop new hobbies, through our short courses and certificate courses.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Undertake contact/teaching hours per week in one of the following unit(s)/component(s):
- Social Media Content and Management
- Design, prepare and develop documents such as lesson plans and assessment descriptors as well as teaching resources/materials
- Plan and supervise a variety of activities such as projects, productions, collaborations, etc.
- Supervise and assess students’ assignments/works/projects
- Prepare and maintain records relating to students’ progress, performance, and attendance
- Contribute to the review of the assigned unit(s)/component(s)
- Mentor and provide academic care and support, including career guidance to students
- Keep up to date on the development of discipline related teaching practices and learning strategies
- Perform any other duties that may be assigned from time to time
Requirements
- Minimum Degree, or related discipline
- WSQ Advance Certificate in Training and Assessment (ACTA) or WSQ Advance Certificate in Learning and Performance will be desirable
- Minimum 5 years of teaching and relevant working experience
- Ability to teach online via MS Teams, Zoom, Canvas and/or other relevant applications is preferred
- Positive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented with the ability to engage adult learners
- A team player with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and spoken communication, problem-solving and analytical skills
