Led by Design & Media Lecturer Matthew Foo and Screen Media (SM) alumni Lee Kian Ping, together with students from SM, Uninvited Farewell was created based on a true story that occurred during the COVID-19 pandemic. The short film depicted a remote farewell to a man’s parent who had passed on after getting infected. It revolved around the protagonist’s memories and present moments, between dream and reality. The collaborators wanted to dedicate this film to all those who could not go back to their hometown during the COVID-19 lockdown period, as well as to remind ourselves to treasure our family and friends.
