Jacinta has more than 22 years of industry experience working in the editorial and public relations fields, with the last 9 years inclusive of educational development.

She is a freelance editor, writer and proof reader. New magazines that have been launched based on the successful consultation with publishing houses include MINTS and little, both of which are children’s lifestyle magazines for parents. She has also written and edited hard-cover coffee-table books for government organisations.

Previously, as Sub-Editor, Senior Sub-Editor, Lifestyle Editor, Editor and Co-ordinating Editor at Magazines Incorporated, SPH, The Lexicon Group and Global Yellow Pages, Jacinta has led revamps of magazines, co-ordinated and styled photo shoots, as well as written numerous articles in business and finance, health and wellness, travel and F&B, and fashion and other lifestyle elements.

Her varied experiences have also allowed her to share her knowledge extensively as an adjunct / associate / part-time lecturer at Curtin University, Kaplan Institute of Higher Learning (Murdoch programmes), Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, SIM Global Education (RMIT programmes) and SMF Institute of Higher Learning (Murdoch programmes).

She has taught a myriad of different modules, from Research (Communication Research, Marketing Research, Research and Communication Studies) and Communication (Copywriting, General News Writing, Media Planning, Media Relations, Professional Communication, Web News Production) to law (Cultural and Media Policy, Media Law & Ethics).
