Fine Art is the founding flagship of NAFA’s art bastion. Over the decades, artistic practices have evolved through commentaries, experimentations, social change and new media. This exhibition showcases the current staff of the Department of Fine Art, who are both educators and practitioners in their own right. The art of making is also the art of learning, and together, their diverse outputs demonstrate the creative iconography of the contemporary age. The exhibition also features works from NAFA’s diploma and degree alumni. Their place in the arts landscape identifies a particular language that provides for both their art historical legacy as well as their search for future significances. NAFA is proud to present this showcase. Art is research and practice, and inevitably manifests the relationships between people and societies; material and maker; past and present.
