This is an exhibition of 24 artworks by eight artists with special needs from Very Special Arts’ (VSA) Alive Programme.  They were produced during eight workshops organised by NAFA in collaboration with VSA, and conducted by prize winning artist and NAFA alumna Yoko Choi, who curated the exhibition. Yoko was assisted by two current NAFA Fine Art students, Ang Xue Ning and Quek Jia Yi.  The 24 works will be displayed at the opening of the exhibition on 24 Jan 2018. Thereafter 8 of these artworks will be displayed at the street-side window display of NAFA Campus 2.

The subject matter ranged from nature, food, faith, relationships with the beloved, childhood memories, loss, imagination and dreams. The artists come from diverse backgrounds; art became a life companion or soulmate for them to look inside and find light amidst life challenges.

The artists are Azmi bin Mahmad, Chuan Yew Eng, Eugene Soh, Simon Lim Fook Hong, Tay Bee Lian, Teresa Tan, Wan Dzulkefly and William Ngo.
