Directed by Head of Winds Joost Flach, the NAFA Wind Orchestra and various wind ensembles present an almost French-oriented programme. Arguably the highlight of the evening is the performance of Albert Roussel's A Glorious Day, Op. 48, composed 90 years ago and published a year later in Paris, described by music professor and conductor Mark Fonder as having "had an uncelebrated history [...] steeped in a unique French compositional style of its day", yet "worthy of performance not only for historical interest, but for its artistic value".
