We are deeply honoured to share that The Ngee Ann Kongsi has pledged another generous gift of S$1.2 million to NAFA. This renewed commitment will provide scholarships for 50 of our outstanding students over the next five years, helping them pursue their undergraduate degrees with confidence and focus.
The memorandum of understanding was signed on 12 September 2025, and a cheque presentation ceremony marked the start of this new chapter of support. From Academic Year 2026/27, each scholarship recipient will receive S$10,000 annually to support their studies in bachelors’ degree programmes such as Fine Art, Biophilic Design, Design Practice, Performance Making, Contemporary Chinese Theatres, Music, and Instrumental & Vocal Teaching.
This is not the first time The Ngee Ann Kongsi has stood by our side. In 2021, their gift of S$1.2 million presented scholarships that have already changed the lives of 41 students. With this latest contribution, The Ngee Ann Kongsi’s support for NAFA has grown to more than S$14 million since 2009, including a landmark $10 million gift in 2015 that helped build our fourth campus.
Reflecting on this milestone, Ms Low Sin Leng, Chairman of the NAFA Board, said:
“This is not just a continuation of funding. It is a reaffirmation of belief. Belief in the power of the arts, the potential of young people, and belief in NAFA’s mission, to inspire learning and growth through creativity.”
We are deeply grateful for this long-standing partnership. The Ngee Ann Kongsi’s belief in our mission makes it possible for talented students to pursue their passions without financial barriers. With their support, we can continue nurturing the next generation of artists and designers who will shape Singapore’s creative future.
