Certificate in Digital Imaging

Learners will learn the methodology and principles of digital imaging in photography. With an emphasis on Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud, learners will be taught enhancement, manipulation and retouching techniques to illuminate their photographs. Learners will be guided throughout the course. An outdoor photography session is included to put the skills they have learnt to practice.

Module 1 – Foundation in Digital Imaging
(8 sessions x 3 hours)
This module introduces learners to the methodology of digital imaging in photography, enabling them to understand the creative principles behind the production of interesting and aesthetically stunning photographs. Learners will be equipped with basic enhancement and manipulation techniques of Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud. This module includes an outdoor photography session.

Module Content:
  • Develops comprehensive skill in digital imaging via Adobe Photoshop.
  • Develops observation skills in looking at details, colours and creativity in photograph.
  • Explore the ways digital image enhances visual in photograph.
  • Apply digital imaging effectively to create beautiful photographs.
  • Understand non-destructive methods in Adobe Photoshop.

Module 2 – Digital Imaging (Intermediate)
(8 sessions x 3 hours)

This module aims to equip learners with practical skills in various photo retouching techniques and provide them with intermediate level skills in manipulation techniques, to enhance their ability to produce interesting and aesthetically stunning photographs.

Our Trainers

 

Arron Teo

Arron Teo is a dedicated educator with more than 15 years of teaching experience in art and photography. He is currently an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, imparting his 2D Visual Art & Photography knowledge to tertiary and certificate students. He was invited to conduct an art & photography workshop for MOE teachers at Singapore Teachers’ Academy for the aRts since 2014. Arron’s photographs have been awarded, exhibited and published locally & internationally. His works have been featured in various photobooks & magazines. The Singapore Art Gallery Guide featured his photo-documentary works from 2010 until their final printed copy in late 2016. Arron enjoys photographing people and behind-the-scene events. He was also commissioned by celebrities, government and corporate organisations for portraiture and photo-documentary assignments locally and overseas.



Sherman Tan Huai Tse

Sherman is a designer with over 20 years of experience in the creative industry and specialises in integrated design and marketing communications, digital marketing, corporate branding, web design and content creation. Sherman graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (Design) from the University of Western Sydney and is the founder of DPI Communications, a design and marketing agency specializing in BTL design, post-production printing and digital marketing solutions. He is currently an adjunct lecturer with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), teaching digital imaging. Sherman is also a certified WIX partner who has developed, and designed many successful e-commerce websites.

Course schedules for July 2025 intake will be published in October 2024.

There will be 1 daytime outdoor shoot held on a weekend (date to be confirmed). The outdoor shoot will replace one of the weekday lessons.

We are open from Monday to Friday (excluding Public Holidays).

Operating hours:
9.30am - 12.30pm; 2.00pm - 5.00pm.
