Students will imagine and create artworks inspired by the story “How To Catch A Star.” They will create a star themed canvas painting, a star plushie and a marbling piece.

Students will learn to paint landscapes of skies, mountains, water ripples, starry night and trees realistically and expressively. They will explore various fun techniques with watercolour medium, e.g. masking fluid, splattering, wax and salt effect and master the important wet on wet techniques in watercolour.

Characters lean from the pages, juxtaposition of the delicate intricacies of origami with the mechanics of paper engineering adds layers of complexity and depth to the narrative.
