Janice Tsai has toured and performed with renowned orchestras across Europe, Australia and Asia, including St. Martin in the Fields, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, and Hong Kong Academy Symphony Orchestra. Janice appears regularly in performances with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra and Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra. In addition to orchestral works, her repertoire expands into chamber and opera, and she frequently collaborates with Re: mix Singapore and the Singapore Lyric Opera Orchestra. She has also held violin and viola recitals in Shanghai, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Australia.

Besides performing, Janice also dedicates part of her time as the Principal Study Lecturer at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. To further her career, she frequently participates in master classes, and has been coached by acclaimed musicians including Ruggiero Ricci, Cho-Liang Lin, Malcolm Bilson and James Dunham. Her love for travelling has taken her to the Dartington Summer Festival in England, Carinthia Summer Festival in Austria, and Festival Pablo Casals in France.

Janice, a native of Taiwan, started training in classical music from early childhood. She has a Master's Degree in Viola Performance from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music under the direction of Winifred Durie. She also holds Degrees in Violin and Viola with distinction and first class honours from the Australian Institute of Music and the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. Her principal teachers included Jeremy Williams, the viola chair of the Australian Quartet; and Barry Wilde, the former concert master of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.
