Swee Siong is a versatile multi-media sculptor who integrates craft, design and engineering in his works. He was awarded 1st runner-up in the 5th CDL Sculpture in 2013. With the knowledge of sculpture and electronics, he was commissioned to take part in ‘I light 2012’. His electronic installation sculptures are featured in “Art Reborn” on MediaCorp's OKTO channel and “My HeARTland Carnival” on MediaCorp's Channel 8. He was also commissioned to exhibit several site-specific installations including the display of the “Human Ladder” at The Concourse in Esplanade. He had participated in several wood carving symposiums, including “Warriors” wood carving symposium at Assen, Holland, as well as the wood carving symposiums at Fort Canning Park in 2007 and 2013.

Swee Siong had been a full time lecturer at the Department of Fine Art of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts from 1996 to 2010, and at the Department of Interaction Design of Nanyang Polytechnic from 2010 to 2013. He had also been a visiting lecturer at the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in China in 2011. He was the Vice President of Sculpture Society (Singapore) from 2009 to 2010.
