Martin made his debut with the Florence Maggio Fiorentino as Sleep and Corydon in Purcell's The Fairy Queen. He subsequently sang Don Bartolo (Barber of Seville) with the Teatro Comunale di Guastalla, First Soldier (Salome) and Bauer (Schoenberg's Gurrelieder) for Taiwan’s National Symphony Orchestra (NSO), the title role in Viktor Ullmann's Der Kaiser von Atlantis at Teatro Rosetum in Milan, Silvio (I Pagliacci) with the Teatro Sociale di Trento, Marco (Gianni Schicchi) with the Singapore Lyric Opera (SLO) and Don Alfonso (Cosi Fan Tutte) with Taiwan’s Creation Opera Institute.
Other career highlights include Ping (Turandot) with the SLO, The Dutchman (Der Fliegende Holländer) with Richard Wagner Association of Singapore, Dulcamara (L’elisir d’amore) and Amonasro (Aida) with the SLO, Klingsor (Parsifal) with Taiwan’s NSO and Alcindoro/Benoit (La Boheme) with Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO).
In 2019 he sang Scarpia in Puccini's Tosca for Taiwan’s NSO under Cloud Gate founder Hwai-min Lin’s direction, Ping in Puccini's Turandot for the Weiwuying National Performing Arts Centre (Weiwuying), Germont in Verdi's La Traviata for the Kuala Lumpur City Opera and Escamillo in Bizet's Carmen for the Singapore Lyric Opera.
2020 engagements include the Baritone solo for Britten's War Requiem in the Asian premiere of English National Opera's staging of the work at the Weiwuying Opera House and Ping in a Weiwuying's revival of Puccini's Turandot. In 2021, Martin will sing Marcello in Puccini's La Bohème for Taiwan Opera Factory and Germont in Verdi's La Traviata at Taiwan's National Kaohsiung Center for the Arts (Weiwuying) Opera House.
His concert performances include bass soloist for Bach's Magnificat and Saint John's Passion, Buxtenhude's Membri Jesu Nostri, Mozart's Coronation Mass with the Orchestra of the Virtuosi Italiani, Mozart and Faure's Requiem and the Mozart C minor Massnotably with the Accademia Filarmonica di Verona. Martin is also a frequent guest soloist at various international music festivals like the International Festival Dani Muzike in Herceg-Novi Montenegro and the Et blanc et noir Festival in Lagrasse France.
