Wan Wan has been teaching since 2011 at various institutions, including Singapore Polytechnic (School of Architecture & the Built Environment), Temasek Polytechnic (School of Design) and National University of Singapore (Department of Architecture).

Apart from teaching, she is also an architect, landscape architect and freelance artist. She held her first solo exhibition ‘Decoding Plant’ in November 2011. Her book, titled “Yao Yao Shou Ji” (遥遥手记   ), is a collection of articles she contributed to Lianhe Zaobao and was sponsored by the National Arts Council.

Prior to teaching, Wan Wan worked at National Parks Board (NParks) as the Deputy Director of the Development Branch. She was also seconded to NParks’ subsidiary company, Singapore Garden City Pte Ltd, as the Deputy CEO cum Design Director. Her dedication to NParks has earned her the National Day Public Administration Award (Bronze).

She was also a partner of an architectural firm, where she was in-charge of the design and supervision of various projects ranging from zoo, residential houses, religious buildings, to HDB’s Interim Upgrading Programme project and hotels.

She enjoys sharing her varied experiences with students and hopes to inspire them.
