Biography

Wendy Lim graduated from the BA(Hons) Acting Programme at LASALLE College of the Arts, and is a prolific freelance actor, theatrical movement artist and an educator.

Wendy has taught at LASALLE College of the Arts, and also as an instructor at Jurong West Secondary School and Queenstown Secondary School’s Drama Club. The latter achieved the Distinction Award for the 2015 Singapore Youth Festival under her guidance. She also helms movement-based projects with students and was the main choreographer for the opening ceremony of the new NorthLight Secondary Campus. She has rich experience as an educator, having taught students ranging from pre-school to tertiary levels. Since 2018, Wendy started teaching as a movement theatre lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

Aside from teaching, Wendy is actively involved in the local theatre industry and continues to reinvent herself by participating in many theatre-related workshops that would help improve her craft. Her wide range of stage credits include: Hamlet, directed by Valery Fakin as part of the Japan TOGA Summer Festival 2017, RAW: The Precise Purpose of Being Broken, a devised performance directed by Koh Wan Ching, as part of the Esplanade RAW Series, as well as the first run of Normal, a production directed by Claire Wong, in which she was nominated for Best Ensemble at The Straits Times Life Theatre Awards 2015.
