Gerald obtained his Masters of Arts in Pedagogy Jaques-Dalcroze at the Haute Ecole de Musique de Genève, Switzerland. He studied with world-renowned Dalcroze Diplome Superior holders such as Jean Marc Aeschimann, Gabi Chrisman, Mira Daniel, Sylvia Del Bianco, Ruth Gianadda, Sylvie Morgenegg, Dominique Rey and Pascale Rochat-Martinet.

Gerald is a passionate musician and educator. Gerald’s discovery of the Jaques-Dalcroze method prompted him to pursue his study of music pedagogy in Geneva, Switzerland, its birthplace. Learning in a foreign country has been a life-changing experience, and he wishes to offer refreshing insights to the current Singapore music education scene. He is experienced in working with people of all ages, from toddlers, children and adolescents to adults and the elderly. Notable events include the children performance «Clara, c’est nous» in partnership with the Monte-Carlo Ballet and the Monaco National Education, and a piece in «Crôa! Les enfants de la nuit» which he choreographed for the 100th anniversary of the Institut Jaques-Dalcroze in Geneva.

As a Dalcroze specialist, Gerald plans to develop the method in Singapore with fellow musicians and educators. His interests lie in music pedagogy, music and movement, and interdisciplinary arts.
