Leonard Wee is an active practitioner and educator in the visual arts. A recipient of the Design Singapore Scholarship, he started working as a graphic designer, and subsequently transitioned into primarily working as a painter. Leonard is a firm believer that great imagery is a convergence of intellect, heart and skill. His pursuit lies in what it means and takes to make interesting and meaningful imagery as a creative professional today and how painting as medium can be advanced.

Leonard has worked alongside visual artists and has held exhibitions in Singapore, Philippines and New York, including Gajah gallery, School of Visual Arts Chelsea Gallery and 856 Gallery. His knowledge in both art and design has led him to teach at other institutions such as Raffles Design Institute and M.A.D school where he teaches drawing, art history and adobe imaging software. He is also part of an initiative created by M.A.D school where he facilitates oversea study trips for students.
