Yew Moon has directed and managed musical theatre and spoken drama works over the years, and was the Executive Director of Musical Theatre Ltd from 2010 to August 2014 when he stepped down to pursue other artistic endeavours.

Notably, he has directed Georgette, the Musical by Ng Yi-Sheng (book and lyrics) and Clement Yang (music), both in Singapore (2007) and in the Philippines (collaboration among MTL, Sing Avenue Productions and College of St Benilde in 2008).

In 2007, he was also the artistic coordinator for the first Short+Sweet, Singapore.

Apart from managing and directing, he has also acted for the stage and television, as well as numerous training videos. In particular, he played a major role in training videos produced by the then National Productivity Board in the 1980s.

In 1979, he was awarded the Local Merit Scholarship (Teaching) by the Public Service Commission.

Finally, he believes that trying and not succeeding is far more important than being safe and not trying at all.
