Jessica Chuan is the founder of Rehyphen® and a certified adult trainer and assessor by WSQ.  She is one of the environment sector’s mentor for Youth Action Challenge since 2019 which she gave advice and consultation to youth passionate about environmental issues. Jessica is appointed by British designer & TV host Kevin McCloud as one of his Top 7 Green heroes in 2018 & 2019. Her team pioneers in collecting discarded cassette tapes and weaved them into pieces of MusicCloth® as an effort to reduce and eliminate e-waste while giving the product a new life. This material applies to home & decor products, fashion accessories, and art pieces.

Her MusicCloth® is collected as a museum collection in Red Dot Design Museum, Material ConneXion worldwide library and University of Pennsylvania material lab.

She has exhibited her project all around the world, including 2020 Social Design Exhibition Asia: 100 Proposal to the future, NYC x Design,  Bangkok Biennale, Grand Design London, Premiere Vision Paris, [email protected] London, Pitti Uomo 97 Florence and more.

In addition, she is one of the guest speakers in World Cities Summit 2021, a guest panellist in Responsible Business Form 2020 and also selected by City Development Limited as one of the “Inspiring Women Leaders 2020”.  MusicCloth® has been featured as a cover story on EVA airline in-flight magazine, Delta Airline, CNA news, CNN news, Prestige, Esquire, The Edge, UFM100.3, Lian he Zaobao, Inhabitat, Interior Design, and more.
