Grace Ng Ee Wern

Trained as a lawyer, Grace is also a certified Level 3 in Somatic Voicework (sm). She holds teaching diplomas in Speech & Drama and Classical Singing and a performance diploma in Public Speaking from the London College of Music.

She is fascinated about the effect of the body, the mind and the emotions on the voice. She has attended seminars and teaching conferences worldwide by voice experts to upgrade her knowledge and also takes webinars in voice-related fields.

Currently teaching cross-over singing where the singer is able to sing all styles from classical to pop, she is researching the interaction of singing training with speech training. Her research on an integrative speech/singing teaching methodology for certification from the One Voice-Program for Integrative Voice/Movement Studies would be presented in New York in July 2014.

She has knowledge of JinShinJyutsu, FitzMaurice Voicework, Trigger Point massage, Alexander Technique, Taichi, Laban and Meisner and the dance forms of Tap, Jazz Ballet and Belly Dance.

She roadtests all modalities on her body and is very glad to have done so because they have changed her life, personality and world view. Her students have represented Singapore on the world stage at the World Championship of the Performing Arts in Hollywood USA, Llangollen Eistedfodd 2014 in Wales, as well as at national platforms such as ChildAid and Chingay.
