Biography

Dr. Evelyn Lim is the Head of Music at Methodist School of Music, an Adjunct Instructor at the Singapore Bible College and Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, and a Pipe Organ Master at the Esplanade Theatres on the Bay. She maintains a busy schedule of teaching, performing and organising concerts and educational events.

As organist, she has performed with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO), Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra, Yong Siew Toh Conservatory Orchestra, Orchestra of the Music Makers, and Hallelujah Oratorio Society, among others. She has also been featured at the Esplanade’s "Tapestry of Sacred Music" and "Pedals and Pipes" series, and at concert series at the Victoria Concert Hall and Orchard Road Presbyterian Church. She has performed internationally in countries like Canada, Korea, Malaysia, and various cities in the USA and Europe.

As accompanist, she serves at the Celebration Chorus, a community chorus which she helped found in 2000. An active promoter of organ music, Evelyn is the founding Dean of the Singapore Chapter of the American Guild of Organists - which regularly organises organ concerts and educational events in Singapore - in 2003.
