Cleo graduated from the Washington State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree, where she was the recipient of the President’s Honor Roll from 1993 to 1994, and a member of the Golden Key Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Washington State University Chapter, in 1994.

She was also the recipient of the National Arts Council’s Chen Chong Swee Postgraduate Scholarship in 1998.

Her works were highly commended at the UOB 18th Painting of the Year Competition in 1999.

She currently works independently as a fine arts practitioner and lectures part-time at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, where she is passionate about teaching and sharing the field of art history with young adults.
