Interior Design (Certificate)*

Course is approved for Skills Future Credit Claims. (Only for Singaporean, 25 years old and above.)


The courses are designed for beginners to help them to acquire fundamental skills in interior design. The training includes technical drafting knowledge, basic 3D modelling, basic computer drafting skills and visual presentation techniques that are essential skills for interior design.

Students will be presented a certificate upon successful completion of all 4 short courses and passing all the required assessments.

Interior Design 1 - Technical Drawing (10 sessions x 3 hours)

This course aims to introduce to students the basic knowledge of drafting as a communication tool. The understanding of architectural, interior design and technical standards will help them to develop the ability to carry out measured drawings of spaces and 3D products.

Interior Design 2 - Basic Computer Drafting (10 sessions x 3 hours)

This course focuses on the fundamentals of computer drafting that students will develop using computer as a drawing and manipulation tool in the preparation of production drawings.

Interior Design 3 - Basic 3D Modelling (10 sessions x 3 hours)

This course covers the use of 3 dimensional modelling programmes to create visualize 3D ideas with basic functions of modelling, exploring materials and modification of lighting. Student will learn to use the software intuitively through a process of familiarisation and duplicating existing notable contemporary environment design.

Interior Design 4 - Colour Perspective (10 sessions x 3 hours)

This course aims to develop basic skills necessary for an interior designer to communicate visually. This includes developing skills in freehand drawing / sketching, perspective drawing, the use of colour and the rendering of drawings.

Applicants must be 17 years old & above.

Prerequisites for registration of short courses

  • For Interior Design 3 & 4, applicants need to complete Interior Design 1 & 2 (within six months)

Refund of Fees

Withdrawal within 14 days before the commencement date of each short course Course fee will be refunded after deduction of S$107 as administrative charges.
Withdrawal on or after commencement date
No refunds will be given.

Cancellation/ Postponement

  • NAFA reserves the right to cancel or postpone any course without prior notice.
    In the event that the class is unable to proceed due to unforeseen circumstances, NAFA will process a full refund of the course fees.

Withdrawal/ Deferment/ Transfer

  • Withdrawal or deferment requests should be made in writing with supporting relevant documents (if any) to Continuing Education. Request for deferment is subject to approval.
  • No deferment is allowed after the 2nd lesson of each short course.
  • No transfer of course upon registration.

Replacement of Classes

  • There is strictly no replacement lesson should the participant absent himself/herself from the course.
