In collaboration with the School of Art and Design (SOAD) Foundation programme, a total of 352 Year 1 students from eight ‘General Studies II’ classes were given a tour of the exhibition entitled ‘Impressions in Southeast Asia’, which was led by Dr Bridget Tracy Tan, Director of the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and Art Galleries at NAFA.

Students were introduced to the art of various artists from Southeast Asia and were provided with guided questions to aid them in analysing the exhibited artworks.

The aim of the activity was for students to gain new perspectives of the landscape as a genre, landscape as definition and imagination, and landscape as idea and feeling. Lecturers-in-charge also attended the tours and acted as ambassador tutors to the students.
