“Art is the catalyst for self-development.” Jia Ning’s art practice aims to make art accessible to people from all walks of life. With a multi-medium and socially engaged approach, she focuses on the exploration of art appreciation in the local community. In her graduation project, the goal is to create an awareness of innate creativity among everyday people. The artwork takes on resource sharing of life hacks and encourages self-reflection of creativity as a way of thinking. The project also challenges using high tech software for art-making by using common presentation software, Microsoft PowerPoint, as a medium of art in creating animations and interactive platforms.
