Noyona is a myth-maker and dream builder whose work builds upon a Jungian psycho-spiritual framework. Influenced by Alchemical processes of spiritual transformation, Noyona imagines vivid dreamscapes teeming with characters of personal and universal significance in order to better situate herself in the happenings of her internal and external realities. Intrigued by the creative act as an intimate ritual for self-reflection, she creates a mythical narrative using archetypal imagery as her personal symbolic language. Noyona peers into the world, collecting elements of the natural world as signifiers of the intangible and the unknown. She incorporates surrealist techniques of automatic writing and drawing to personify abstract psychic forces and sanctify the fragments of Self. These creations require a surrendering to the currents of free association, allowing the Camera Obscura (mind’s eye) to translate the world.
