Description

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation, seeks an organised, proactive and resourceful individual with a passion for arts and talent development.

For NAFA to stand at the forefront of arts education and practice, the Special Projects Unit (SPU) supports the community in regularly undertaking special projects to develop our people and connect us to the global arts and design community.

The Senior / Programme Coordinator (Admin), Special Projects Unit plays a supporting role to SPU’s NAFA Talent Development Programme (NTDP), while taking the lead in overall administration at SPU, and project management for Special Projects. The role supports daily coordination, administration and implementation under the guidance of more senior team members.


Roles and Responsibilities

 

In this key administrative and coordination role within the Special Projects Unit (SPU), you will support the delivery and management of NTDP and related Special Projects involving student participants. These initiatives play an important role in nurturing student development, and your contribution will be essential in ensuring their effective planning, coordination, and execution.

Your responsibilities will centre on providing comprehensive administrative and coordination support across programme and project lifecycles. This includes supporting NTDP administration by guiding students on project timelines, requirements, and administrative processes, as well as assisting the Head (SPU) in the planning, coordination, and management of Special Projects. You will also support overall SPU administrative matters, including evaluations, award processing, payments to external vendors, and the management of programme workflows.

You will work closely with students, faculty members, internal departments, and external partners to facilitate smooth project planning, execution, and documentation. This includes coordinating logistics, schedules, agreements, and post-project reporting, while ensuring programme-related processes and documentation remain consistent and compliant with established guidelines. In addition, you will assist in the review and refinement of SPU policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and related documentation, and undertake other duties as assigned by the Head (Special Projects Unit) and Head (Planning & Projects Office) to support the broader objectives of the Unit.


Requirements

 
  • You should minimally possess a Diploma or Degree in a related discipline, along with relevant professional experience.
    1. For Diploma holders, a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience is required for the Programme Coordinator level, and 8 years of relevant experience for the Senior Programme Coordinator level.
    2. For Degree holders, candidates without experience who are eager to learn and contribute to a dynamic environment are also welcome to apply for the Programme Coordinator level, and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience for the Senior Programme Coordinator level.
  • To excel in this role, you should be proactive, resourceful, and able to take initiative to drive outcomes independently.
  • Strong organisational, planning, and time management skills are essential to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proficiency in both written and spoken English is required.
  • A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, confidence in stakeholder engagement, and a genuine passion for working with youth is an added advantage.
