Description

Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks an administratively strong Gallery Administrator at Art Galleries (AG).

Inaugurated in 2004, the art galleries at NAFA strives to maintain a high standard brand name in the local art scene. We have state of the art lighting and gallery capacities, as well as specifically honed experience in curating and design of commissioned and proposed exhibitions. Today, we are a key player known for staging unique exhibitions with an international outlook.


Roles and Responsibilities

 

The role involves supporting the planning, execution, and documentation of exhibitions and projects under the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts (ISEAA).

You will contribute actively to the publicity and marketing of ISEAA-led exhibition projects, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders to implement outreach strategies. This includes expanding the visibility of projects through online platforms such as the ISEAA microsite, Instagram account, and other affiliated channels. You will also assist in developing content and promotional materials that reflect the aims and impact of each exhibition.

In addition, you will manage administrative processes such as quotations, purchase orders, invoices, and reimbursement claims in accordance with the Academy’s financial procedures. You will also support documentation and research for the NAFA Collection—comprising physical artworks and digital archives.


Requirements

 
  1. You should possess at least a Degree in Arts and Humanities subjects such as Philosophy, Literature, or Southeast Asian Studies, with a minimum of four to five years of relevant work experience, including at least two years in a museum environment.
  2. A strong understanding of both the local and international arts landscape is essential. Proficiency in English and Chinese (both written and spoken) is required, and working knowledge of Southeast Asian languages would be an added advantage.
  3. To succeed in this role, you should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable with IT systems. Experience in developing content for social media platforms will be beneficial.
  4. You should be a collaborative team player with strong communication skills, an eye for detail, and a flair for creative thinking. The ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders is also important.
