Lim Hak Tai Gallery
Organised by the Institute of Southeast Asian Arts and held in conjunction with the exhibition entitled The Field Beyond: Works by Contemporary Malaysian Artists, the eighth instalment of Southeast Asian Art Clinic explores the theme of storytelling in artmaking. Split into a two-part series consisting of a forum discussion and live dialogue session held online, participating artists Choy Chun Wei, Ivan Lam, Kimberley Boudville, and Yau Bee Ling were invited to share how personal experience and the process of artmaking shapes the way we perceive and engage with art.
Selected students from the School of Art & Design discussed works from the exhibition and shared their own reflections through an online collection of soundtrack, collages, and objects inspired by the artists’ works.
