NAFA is proud to be a venue partner for two masterclasses which are part of ‘Masterclass: Inclusive Arts’, a series of five masterclasses jointly organised by ART:DIS and the National Arts Council. This series covers accessibility, inclusion and thoughtful design in the performing and visual arts, and delves into what it takes to build a fully accessible arts ecosystem for the disabled and mainstream communities to collaborate side by side. The masterclasses seek to equip participants with tools to facilitate greater diversity in Singapore.

Happening from 12 March to 14 May 2022, the masterclasses which will be presented at NAFA are:

• Inclusive Music Making — 26 March and 2 April

• Inclusive Visual Arts Making — 9 April and 16 April

Inclusive Music Making discusses how digital technologies can enable and empower musicians to create, collaborate and release music. Participants will learn the intricacies of making music and working with persons with disabilities in an audio-rich environment. In Inclusive Visual Arts Making, participants will uncover best practices in conducting visual arts sessions with persons with disabilities, and recognise how art making can facilitate both mainstream and disabled communities to learn together.

More information on all masterclasses can be accessed here.
