Germaine received her initial training in classical ballet at the Singapore Ballet Academy. Since graduating from Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, she has performed with local dance company RAW Moves, and her choreography has been showcased at Dance Nucleus’ HATCH and M1 CONTACT Contemporary Dance Festival. Germaine also created interactive installations for Pop-up Noise: Soul Searching as well as Arts in Your Neighbourhood (Punggol). She is currently an artist with Sigma Contemporary Dance and making strides into dramaturgy.

Germaine was on the Dance Faculty at School of the Arts, Singapore from 2014 to 2020 where she taught a variety of modules including Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Dance History & Analysis and Composition & Improvisation. She was also involved with several productions and collaborations across arts faculties.

In addition, Germaine is a freelance dance writer whose work has been published on various arts websites and magazines globally including ArtsEquator, The Straits Times, and Esplanade Offstage. She was also commissioned to research, write and edit commemorative publications for Singapore Dance Theatre and T.H.E Dance Company in 2015 and 2018 respectively.
