Warren Wee is a Singaporean creative director, art curator, entrepreneur, photographer and cultural advocate whose work brings together art, technology, design and community engagement. Based between Singapore and Tokyo since 2017, he has built a multidisciplinary career connecting creative communities across music, visual arts, performance and and culture through collaborative projects and cross-cultural initiatives.
A graduate of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Warren developed a strong foundation in design, storytelling and audience engagement. These early experiences shaped a career that would later span creative direction, cultural programming, entrepreneurship and community building. Over the years, he has worked with organisations across Asia, including Singapore, Japan and China, supporting brand development, market localisation and creative strategy across evolving digital and consumer landscapes.
Beyond his creative practice, Warren has played an active role in strengthening Singapore’s arts and culture ecosystem through mentorship, industry partnership and community building initiatives. He is widely recognised for his work in contemporary and digital art curation, particularly in relation to emerging technologies and new media practices. His interests span traditional visual arts, photography, blockchain applications, Web3 technologies, digital ownership, and the future of creative expression in an increasingly connected world.
One of Warren’s most significant contributions is his leadership of Digital Art Week Asia, an anuual platform that connects artists, institutions and cultural practitioners across the region. Through exhibitions, public programmes and immersive media experiences, the initiative has expanded opportunities for artistic exchange and audience engagement for communities in Asia and beyond, supporting digital artistic innovation and cross-disciplinary collaboration.
As a photographer, Warren has received recognition in international and regional creative platforms, including awards such as the Crowbar Awards in Singapore and recognition from the D&AD New Blood Awards. These recognition reflects his ability to combine artistic vision and strategic communication. His photographic work has been featured in major international publications, including Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar, and exhibited in galleries and cultural venues across Singapore and Japan. His visual style reflects a deep appreciation for storytelling, composition and human experience drawn from urban culture, travel, food, architecture and everyday life.
Beyond his creative practice, Warren is actively involved in community-building and cultural leadership.
