Celine Ng is a spatial designer, educator and sustainability advocate whose work is redefining how the design industry approaches resource use, environmental responsibility and circular design. Driven by the belief that design should create lasting value rather than waste, she has pioneered innovative approaches to modular exhibition systems and resource conscious spatial design.
A graduate of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), Celine transformed her early passion for design into a professional practice centred on sustainability, innovation and purposeful design. These principles later shaped the founding of Fraction Design Studio. Challenging the high-waste practices traditionally associated with exhibitions and events, she developed modular systems and sustainable exhibition solutions designed to extend material longevity and reduce waste.
Her work has gained recognition across the design and business communities with features in Tatler Asia, The Straits Times, Home and Decor Singapore, The Business Times, and Channel NewsAsia. Celine is recognised for advancing circular exhibition concepts, including large-scale modular cardboard installations and sustainable trade show systems. She is also the recipient of the SFIC Sol Awards: New Entrant Award.
An early adopter of emerging technologies, Celine has integrated emerging digital workflows and AI-assisted ideation into her practice to strengthen creative research and operational efficiency. In recognition of her industry leadership, she serves as the Design Chair at the Singapore Furniture Industries Council (SFIC), where she advocates for smaller design studios and sustainable design integration across the furniture and trade ecosystem.
Her collaborative projects span both public and corporate sectors across Thailand, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia and Germany. She is also the chief organiser of the Sustainable Seedling Summit, which brings together businesses and practitioners to accelerate sustainability adoption and green transformation.
Committed to nurturing the next generation of designers, Celine returned to NAFA as an adjunct educator, where she mentors emerging talent and encourages students to combine creativity with environmental responsibility, technical rigour and digital fluency.
For Celine, design is both a creative discipline and a responsibility. Through her work as a designer, educator and industry leader, she continues to demonstrate how thoughtful design can create positive environmental and social impact.
In recognition of her outstanding achievements in spatial design, sustainable practice, industry leadership, design education and her growing impact on Singapore’s design landscape, Celine is being conferred the NAFA Young Alumni Medal 2026.
