The Singapore Saxophone Symposium seeks to foster and encourage interest and passion for music and the saxophone, and is held annually at NAFA.

This year’s symposium will feature concerts and masterclasses by international artists, such as Michellina Chan (Singapore), Po-Fang Chang (Taiwan), Philippe Geiss (France), Po-Yuan Ku (Taiwan), Joseph Lallo (Australia), Shyen Lee (Taiwan/Thailand), Chien-Kwan Lin (Singapore/United States), Jeffrey Loeffert (United States), Alexis Seah (Singapore), Rodrigo Vila (Spain) and Calvin Wong (Hong Kong/United States).

Featured ensembles include the Composition VII Saxophone Quartet, Duo Ostinato, Gusto Saxophone Quartet, h2/4 Duo, MIT Saxophone Ensemble, NAFA Saxophone Quartet/Ensemble, Psaiko Quartet, Salaya Saxophone Ensemble and Xin Saxophone Quartet.

For the fifth time at the Singapore Saxophone Symposium, a composition workshop on writing idiomatically and skilfully for the saxophone will be conducted by Zechariah Goh, Michael Sidney Timpson and Chichun Chi-sun Lee, with the support of the Keuris Quartet.
